Racechick is a brand that represents a culture of badass women drivers, a lifestyle of speed, and the pursuit of empowering women to go faster and push their boundaries on the racetrack and beyond. It began after going to the track and getting tired of not having women’s race gear readily available. We didn’t want to have to wear men’s stuff anymore, so we made our own. We live this life every day, and test these products at every race.

Using a soft measuring tape, compare your measurements to the chart. Choose the size that corresponds to your largest fitting measurement. For example, if your hip measurement puts you in a medium, but your chest measurement puts you in a large, go with the large.
Outside of the sizing? We also offer custom suits, made to your measurements.
Yes! This truly is designed by women racers, for women racers. We started from scratch with a woman's pattern, one that has room for bust, hips and the curves that us women have. We know everyone is shaped a bit differently, and recommend that you consult the size chart and use the largest size that corresponds with your measurements.
For example, if the size chart recommends a medium for the hips, but a large for the bust, you would choose a large.
The difference between SFI-1 & SFI-5 is the safety specification. We have our suits tested by the SFI foundation to ensure that they meet the requirements necessary. The SFI Specification establishes procedures and standards for evaluating and determining performance capabilities for Driver Suits used by individuals engaged in competitive motorsports.
Each racing series will require a specific safety rating, so check with your sanctioning body to find out what safety rating is necessary for the racing you do.
Our SFI-1 (3.2A/1) is our base model suit, made of FR (flame resistant) cotton. This is a great entry level suit and priced accordingly. You don't have to be intimidated by the high cost of entry that other manufacturers have. SFI requires a minimum TPP of 6 (Approx 3 seconds flame resistance) our SFI-1 suits last tested at a TPP of 11.1.
Our SFI-5 (3.2A/5) suit offers more protection and is made of a two layer nomex material. It's a softer material that offers a better performance capability. SFI requires a minimum TPP of 19 (Approx 9.5 seconds flame resistance) our SFI-5 suits last tested at a TPP of 19.3.

Officially, we say to give all in-stock items up to 3 business days to ship out. Unofficially, we try to fulfill orders the same or next day. We ship orders from California and time in transit is anywhere between 1-5 days depending on where it's being shipped to.
Our suits are in stock, unless specified otherwise on the product page. If a product needs to be ordered, they generally take 6-12 weeks for production.
Please note that these are estimated delivery times and are subject to change.
On our custom suits, they are 4-12 weeks after approval of suit design.
We only allow embroidery/ customization to our Custom SFI-5 suits at this time.
If you utilize a local place for added embroidery, we advise to make sure that they use a nomex thread for flame resistance.
We are the only 'female-only' racing safety company in the industry. This is our niche and we are in constant development to keep improving on our women's fire suits and to be able to offer more product offerings to our community of women racers.
Ultimately, it all comes down to fit. And a better fitting suit offers the highest safety protection. When a suit doesn't fit correctly and there are air gaps, the safety effectiveness is sacrificed. A properly fitting suit is the best thing you can do to ensure your safety.
We are racers ourselves and live this life and test these products at every race.
We have a generous return policy for any items that don't fit. We will accept returns or exchanges for any items that are in new, unworn condition with tags attached within 30 days.
To request a return or exchange, click here to go to our returns portal.
The only exception to that is for anything that requires customization, such as custom suits which are considered final sale.

We will warranty race suits from any sewmanship defects or defects in seams, collars, or zippers within 1 year of the date of purchase.
Due to the nature of use, warranty is not applicable to tears, burns, rubbed areas, punctures, or other wear and tear that may happen in a racing situation. We do not cover against extreme or excessive use, improper storage, stains or other outside elements. Suits should be stored in a dry dark area when not in use. We recommend waiting until the suit is completely dry and then storing it in the bag that it was shipped in.
As with all untreated clothing, damage from elements including sun, dyes, moisture or other environmental effects may be more likely to effect the product and are not covered under warranty.
If you have a problem with any of our products, please reach out to us at sales@racechick.com and we will review any reasonable concern.
Yes! We now offer Shop Pay Installments which splits the total into four payments with no interest or credit check. Simply choose Shop Pay Installments at checkout...it's that easy!
We hear this question often..."can I wear a men's fire suit if I'm a woman?" Sure, you could. But if you are asking if it's the safest option, the answer is a resounding no.
Think about this - men and women are shaped completely differently...
On December 7th, 2017, Racechick reached a very important milestone with the launch of our new 'FIERCE' line of women's race gear at the PRI Show in Indianapolis. This launch was literally the reason that Racechick.com was born.
