After 60 minutes, orders may still be eligible for cancellation prior to shipment; however, refunds will be issued minus a processing fee to cover non-refundable payment processing costs. If you prefer, we are happy to offer a full store credit for the order amount in place of a refund. Once an order has begun processing or is in fulfillment, it may no longer be eligible for cancellation. Processing fees range from 3%-7% depending on payment method/processor.
We will warranty race gear from any sewmanship defects or defects in seams, collars, or zippers within 1 year of the date of purchase. Due to the nature of use, warranty is not applicable to tears, burns, rubbed areas, punctures, or other wear and tear that may happen in a racing situation. We do not cover against extreme or excessive use, improper storage, stains, water or other outside elements. Suits should be stored in a dry dark area when not in use. We recommend waiting until the suit is completely dry and then storing it in the bag that it was shipped in.
As with all untreated clothing, damage from elements including sun, dyes, moisture or other environmental effects may be more likely to effect the product and are not covered under warranty. If you have a problem with any of our products, please reach out to us at sales@racechick.com and we will review any reasonable concern.
1. Suit First, Wrench Later:
After your session, hang your suit to air out and dry before diving under the hood. Sweat and moisture can break down the suit materials, so let it breathe!
2. Fasten Before You Wash:
Before washing, make sure all zippers are zipped, Velcro belts are fastened, and the suit is turned inside out to protect embroidery and fabric.
3. Stick with Cold Water:
Always wash your suit in cold water. Hot water and high heat are a hard NO—they can damage the fire-retardant coating.
4. Hand Wash Preferred:
Hand washing is the gentlest method and ideal for keeping your suit in race-ready condition. If machine washing is your only option, use the delicate cycle and a garment wash bag.
5. Use the Right Detergent:
We highly recommend Molecule cleaning products—specially formulated for technical fabrics like Nomex. They clean, disinfect, smell great, and won’t degrade the suit’s protective coating like some household detergents can.
👉 No bleach, no harsh chemicals, no fabric softeners—ever.
6. Hang Dry Indoors:
Let your suit air dry indoors, out of direct sunlight. UV rays degrade the protective fibers over time, so keep your gear in the shade where it belongs.
Storage: Fold neatly and store your suit in a cool, dry place—ideally in a gear bag. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.
Inspect Before Each Use: Check for tears, worn seams, or damage. If your suit needs repair, it must be done with the original materials and by qualified personnel. Your safety depends on it.
Respect the Suit: Treat your race suit like your Sunday best. It’s not just gear—it’s your backup plan in a worst-case scenario.
